Estradiol gels and creams
Serum levels fluctuate significantly within hours of application. The DUTCH Complete in this bundle measures metabolites over a longer collection window, providing a more reliable picture for this delivery method.
Oral progesterone
Serum progesterone is unreliable for oral progesterone monitoring. The DUTCH Complete measures progesterone metabolites in urine and is the preferred method for this form of HRT.
Vaginal progesterone
Serum values increase with vaginal progesterone but do not reflect uterine concentrations, which may be the primary therapeutic goal. Clinical interpretation requires additional context beyond serum values alone.
Vaginal estradiol
Systemic absorption is minimal at standard doses, so serum levels will generally be low — which is intentional. Symptom response is typically a more meaningful guide for this delivery method.
