Ordering

8 questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to order?

No, that’s the whole point. Posity Wellness provides direct-access functional lab testing, meaning you can order any panel without a referral, a prior appointment, or insurance approval. Every order is processed through Evexia’s Internal Physician Network, a network of physicians who enable the lab ordering process, so you get the access without the gatekeeping.

How do I place an order?

Browse the panels page and select the one that fits your needs, or take the free quiz to get a recommendation. When you’re ready to order, you’ll be directed to our secure client portal (Practice Better) to complete your purchase. Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive a welcome email with next steps, including an invitation to activate your Practice Better portal, where your onboarding program and everything else you need to get started will be waiting for you.

Can I order more than one panel at a time?

Yes. If you’re unsure which panel is right for you, you can take the quiz for a recommendation.

Is there a subscription or ongoing commitment?

No subscriptions, no commitments. Every panel is a one-time purchase. You order what you need, when you need it, nothing more.

Is this available in my state?

The labs we offer are only available to residents of the contiguous United States, with the exception of New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. State regulations in these states prohibit this type of lab testing.

What is Practice Better and why am I being redirected there?

Practice Better is our secure client portal where everything related to your order lives, including checkout and payment processing, your lab results, and your personalized lab results education report. Your lab order is fulfilled through Evexia Diagnostics, our lab ordering platform. You may receive communications from both Practice Better and Evexia Diagnostics, this is expected and part of your order process.

What happens after I complete checkout?

Once your order is confirmed through Practice Better, two things happen simultaneously.

You will receive a welcome email inviting you to activate your Practice Better client portal account. Please note that you are asked to complete your portal activation within seven business days of purchase. Without completing this step we will not be able to process your order or deliver your results in a timely manner.

Once inside your portal you will find your new client onboarding program and all instructions for getting started with your testing experience.

On our end, we will place your lab order through the Evexia Internal Physician Network within one business day of purchase confirmation:

    • For at-home panels your collection kit will ship directly to the address you provided within 3-5 business days
    • For blood draw panels, a lab requisition form will be delivered to your Practice Better portal within 1-2 business days with instructions for scheduling your blood draw at a nearby Labcorp location
    • Lab processing for lab kits is approximately 10-14 business days after your sample is received by the lab.
    • Lab processing for blood draws is approximately 5-10 business days after your blood draw is completed by the lab.
    • Once your results are received by the lab, they are then uploaded to your Practice Better portal.
    • Your personalized lab results education report is uploaded to your Practice Better portal within approximately 1-3 business days after your lab results are received.
Can I change or cancel my order after checkout?

If you need to cancel or modify your order, please contact us at info@positywellness.com within 14 days of purchase. To qualify for a refund, the following must be met:

  • For blood draw panels: your blood draw must not yet have been completed
  • For at-home collection panels: your sample must not yet have been collected, and your kit must not yet have been opened or returned to the laboratory for processing

Any unopened at-home collection kits must be returned to Posity Wellness before a refund can be issued. Please note that all refunds are subject to a 10% administrative and processing fee, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.

Testing, Logistics & Payment

14 questions

Where do I go to get my blood drawn?

After your order is placed, your blood draw requisition form will be available in your Practice Better portal within 1-2 business days. Print it and bring it to any of the 2,000+ Labcorp draw centers across the US. You can schedule your blood draw appointment directly with Labcorp at your convenience. Most draws are quick and straightforward.

How do the at-home collection kits work?

Once your order is placed, your kit ships directly to your door, typically within 3-5 business days. The kit includes step-by-step collection instructions, all supplies you need, and a prepaid return label. You collect your sample at home, mail it back, and the lab processes your sample from there. Some at-home tests have specific preparation and timing requirements. See ‘Do I need to prepare for my at-home test?’ below.

Do I need to fast before my blood draw?

Some panels, particularly the Metabolic Wellness Panel, include fasting values like glucose and insulin that require a 10-12 hour fast before your draw. Your blood draw requisition form will clearly indicate whether fasting is required for your specific panel. When in doubt, a morning appointment after an overnight fast covers all bases.

Important: We do not recommend stopping prescription medications to prepare for testing. Any decision to pause or change prescription medications should be made only in consultation with your prescribing doctor.

Can I order if I'm currently on hormone replacement therapy or hormonal contraceptives?

If you’re currently on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), the In-Depth Hormone Analysis, HRT Optimization panel, Hormone Harmony Bundle and Thrive in Balance Bundle options are built specifically for you, since they measure your circulating hormone levels. If you’re on hormonal contraceptives, most of our hormone panels are not designed to monitor contraceptive levels. The DUTCH Complete can still offer valuable insight into your symptoms in light of your current hormone levels while on hormonal contraceptives.

Does my menstrual cycle timing matter for testing?

Yes, for several of our hormone panels, cycle timing matters and can affect the educational context provided with your results. Every kit includes detailed instructions and a schedule chart to help you determine and adjust your sample days based on your unique cycle.

Ovarian Reserve & Menopausal Transition Panel (blood draw): Best collected on days 1-5 of your cycle.

DUTCH Complete: Ideally collected between days 19-21 of a 28-day cycle, to capture the luteal phase peak. If your cycle is consistently longer or shorter than 28 days, adjust your collection window accordingly. For example, with a consistent 30-day cycle, collect between days 21-23. With a consistent 26-day cycle, collect between days 17-19.

DUTCH Cycle Mapping: A total of 9 samples are collected across your entire cycle, spaced a few days apart to capture all major hormonal shifts. Your exact collection days are based on your individual average cycle length, with a full schedule and chart provided in your kit.

If you’re not currently cycling, have irregular periods (due to perimenopause, ablation, or partial hysterectomy with ovaries intact), and can’t determine your cycle days for the DUTCH Complete:

Use ovulation strips each morning. Once you get a positive result, collect your DUTCH sample 5-7 days later.

If you test for 30 days without a positive ovulation result, go ahead and collect your sample.

If you’re postmenopausal, you can take the DUTCH Complete at any time of the month.

For DUTCH Cycle Mapping specifically, if you don’t have regular bleeding (due to perimenopause, ablation, or partial hysterectomy), collection can begin on any day, following a special schedule provided in your kit.

What if I'm postmenopausal, can I still order?

Absolutely. Many panels are designed for women in perimenopause or menopause. If you are unsure which panel is right for you, you can take the short quiz to get a recommendation.

What do I need to bring with me for my blood draw?

Bring your printed requisition form and a valid driver’s license or photo ID. Do not provide payment or insurance information at the lab draw center. Your testing has already been paid for in full.

Do I need to pay for my blood draw at the lab?

No. Do not pay for your blood draw or provide insurance at the blood draw center. Your order has already been paid for.

Do I need to pay for return shipping of my samples back to the lab?

No. Each at-home lab kit comes with a prepaid shipping label and envelope, along with instructions on how and where to drop it off (usually FedEx or UPS).

Note: If you choose to schedule a pickup instead of dropping it off yourself, this may incur an additional pickup charge. This charge is not included in the cost of your order and would need to be paid separately.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards, Google Pay, US bank account (ACH debit), and Buy Now Pay Later options including Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna. Please note that HSA and FSA eligibility for lab testing services varies by plan administrator. We strongly recommend confirming eligibility with your plan before placing your order as Posity Wellness is not responsible for declined HSA or FSA transactions.

Can I use my insurance to pay for this testing?

No. We do not bill insurance for any testing, or provide Superbills. All orders are cash-pay only.

Can Medicare or Medicaid be used to pay for these services?

No. These testing services are cash-pay only and are not submitted to Medicare, Medicaid, or any government insurance program. If you are a Medicare or Medicaid beneficiary, you are welcome to pay out of pocket, just note that these services cannot be submitted for reimbursement under those programs.

Where can I find my requisition form after I've paid?

Once your order is confirmed, your requisition will be available in your Practice Better portal. For blood draw panels, print the requisition form and bring it with you to your blood draw appointment. For at-home collection kits, your kit will be mailed directly to the address you provided at checkout. No download needed.

Do I need to prepare for my at-home test?

Yes. The DUTCH and GI-MAP each have specific preparation guidelines to ensure accurate results. Every kit includes detailed instructions and a schedule chart to help you determine and adjust your sample days.

Some blood panels, particularly the Metabolic Wellness Panel, include fasting values like glucose and insulin that require a 10-12 hour fast before your draw.

Results

5 questions

How long until I receive my results?

Lab kits are delivered to your home approximately 3-5 business days after your order is processed. Requisition forms for blood draws are available in your Practice Better portal within 1-2 business days of your order being processed.

Lab processing for lab kits is approximately 10-14 business days after your sample is received by the lab. Lab processing for blood draws is approximately 5-10 business days after your blood draw is completed by the lab. Once received, lab results are then uploaded to your Practice Better portal.

Your personalized lab results education report is uploaded to your Practice Better portal within approximately 3 business days after your lab results are received.

What does the personalized lab results education report include?

Each panel includes a plain English lab results education report that is personalized to you, to help you understand your results. It explains what each test value measures and how functional ranges differ from standard lab reference ranges for midlife women, so you can better understand your own results, not just the printout. Please note this report is for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute a medical diagnosis or treatment recommendation. We always encourage you to share your results and report with your licensed healthcare provider for any clinical follow-up.

My result is within the "normal" range but I still feel off. What does that mean?

This is one of the most common experiences with functional testing, and one of the most important things to understand. Standard lab reference ranges are built from a broad population average, not from what’s optimal for midlife women specifically. Your personalized lab results education report addresses this directly, walking you through functional ranges so you have more context than just the standard reference range on the printout.

Can I share my results with my doctor?

Yes, your results are yours completely. You can download and share them with your OB/GYN, primary care provider, or any functional health practitioner you work with. Many clients use their functional lab results as a starting point for more productive conversations with their existing providers.

What should I do if a result looks concerning?

If anything in your results concerns you, please share them with your primary care provider or a licensed healthcare professional promptly. Posity Wellness lab services help give you data, your provider helps you act on it. In the rare event a result requires urgent medical attention, Evexia’s physician network flags it according to standard lab protocols, and we will contact you directly with next steps.

Choosing a Panel

5 questions

I don't know which panel to order. Where do I start?

Start with the free quiz to get a panel recommendation. It asks a few questions about where you’re at in your hormonal journey and your goals with functional lab testing. It’s quick and requires no email to see your results.

How is this different from what my doctor orders?

Standard panels check things like cholesterol, blood sugar, and thyroid at a surface level. Functional panels go deeper, testing markers that sometimes aren’t part of routine bloodwork. This is often why you’re told everything looks “normal.” Functional labs look at how your body is processing and metabolizing hormones, not just how much it’s producing, and considers functional ranges alongside standard ones. Your personalized lab results education report is written specifically with perimenopause and menopause in mind, and every order is processed through Evexia’s Internal Physician Network, so you can get tested without waiting on a referral.

What's the difference between the DUTCH and the serum hormone panels?

Serum (blood) testing measures how much hormone is circulating in your blood at a single moment. The DUTCH (dried urine) test captures hormone metabolites, showing not just how much hormone you have, but how your body is processing and clearing it. This additional layer of information is part of why many practitioners use DUTCH alongside serum testing for a more complete picture.

I've already had some labs run recently, do I need to retest everything?

Not necessarily. If you have recent results for certain values, some panels may be more targeted to fill gaps in your existing picture. The quiz asks about prior testing history to help account for this. You’re also welcome to email us at info@positywellness.com before ordering if you have general questions about our testing options.

Who are these lab testing services designed for?

Posity Wellness lab testing services are designed for adult women who are navigating perimenopause, menopause, or related hormonal and metabolic health concerns. These are self-directed services, no practitioner consultation is included. If you are unsure whether functional lab testing is appropriate for your individual situation, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before ordering.
