The DUTCH Complete measures endogenous hormones your body produces naturally, as well as bioidentical hormones being supplemented. It is not able to measure synthetic hormones found in hormonal contraceptives or their metabolites. Please keep the following in mind:

Oral micronized progesterone
Estradiol (E2): patches, gels, creams, vaginal creams & pellets
Testosterone: best used as a complementary test to serum testosterone when on transdermal, injection, or pellet testosterone HRT
Hormonal Contraceptives
Appropriate for:
Non-hormonal contraceptives (copper IUD)
Limited insight into sex hormones & metabolites:
Combination hormonal contraceptives (oral, patches, rings, or Depo-Provera shot)
- Results may mimic postmenopausal ranges for progesterone, and estrogen production may drop to baseline
